Four Decades of Passion for Wing Chun

Since 1982, Wing Chun has been more than just a martial art to me—it is a lifelong journey of discovery. What began in Germany led me across Europe for six years, learning the various facets and styles of this art from the finest masters.

From the Roots in Hong Kong to the World

Between 2000 and 2014, I was repeatedly drawn back to Hong Kong, directly to the sources of Wing Chun. This profound experience at the origins solidified my foundation. At the same time, my desire to share this knowledge globally grew: since my first seminar tour to the USA in 1999, I have had the privilege of teaching students across Europe—from Portugal to Denmark—and the United States.

The Turning Point: Discovering Internal Logic

A decisive moment in my career was meeting Professor Kampmann from the KTH in Sweden in 2012. Our exchange regarding his work on Internal Reference radically changed my perspective.

It was no longer just about copying movements, but about understanding physical ideals and biomechanics. This fruitful collaboration shapes my system to this day, making Flecken Wing Chun one of the most analytical and efficient approaches of our time.
